Preparations are being made to allow four youth to represent Mississippi 4-H and the MSU Extension Center for Government and Community Development in the 2025 4-H Senate Page Program!
These youth will serve the week of February 3-7, 2025 in the Mississippi Senate. Applicants must be age 14 as of January 1, 2025, and not yet graduated from high school. Pages must also have a grade average of at least a “B.”
If selected, the applicant must agree to adhere to all behavioral standards expected of 4-H members. Applications must be received by December 2, 2024 to be considered. Please give special attention to this due date. The application must be submitted using the online application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
After a selection committee reviews all applications, four (4) individuals will be selected and notified by their local Extension agent. It is especially important that applicants express their knowledge of, involvement with, and interest in issues relating to citizenship, leadership, and governmental functions.
Youth must be a member of 4-H to serve in this program.
The MSUES Center for 4-H Youth Development will provide lodging, conveniently located near the Capitol, some meals, and a chaperone. Applicants who are not selected to represent MSUES Center for 4-H Youth Development and the GCD are encouraged to contact the office of the Lt. Governor or their local state senator or representative and request that they be appointed as a legislative page at another
time under his or her sponsorship.
