Almost Heaven - riding lessons Western riding lessons on our horses at our farm in Moatsville. Almost Heaven is a family run, family friendly farm. I also do "tune-ups".

I have a passion for horses and want to share my love and experience with others. I have been riding over 32 years and owned/trained my own horses for at least 30 years. I have 12 years professional riding experience through several equine related jobs. I have trained several horses, specializing in general "tune ups". Western riding lessons: The lessons start from the ground up with safety as a p

rimary focus. Students will learn to safely catch, tie, groom, tack, and ride horses. For lessons given on our property short trail rides may be included as the student progresses in skill and confidence. If you have your own horse at your own farm or boarding facility, I can travel to you within a reasonable driving distance. Training: At this time I can not bring your horse to me, but I am able to work with your horse at your facility within a reasonable driving distance. Training would include but is not limited to basic ground work, manners, and general riding. This would be getting your horse under saddle for a few more hours before you begin the summer riding season. Prices:
My horses, My barn $35.00/hr
your horse, your barn $35.00/hr plus mileage

Hours:
Varies depending on season and weather. I want to help any and all people experience the joy of horses. However, there may be restrictions due to a persons physical health or condition. Please feel free to call or email with any questions. We can discuss a situation and work out arrangements.

So….we’ve been a little pouty lately. We keep asking mom why our mini-human friends haven’t been coming up to play with us. We really miss all the brushing and treats. She keeps saying winter just isn’t safe, but we didn’t understand. Until she opened the door of the barn this morning! The snow is deeper than her boots! We sure do miss you all, but we want you to be safe and warm. We will see you in the spring time!

God always has a message, we just have to listen. Brought in the horses today to prep for lessons. Noticed a “twig” in Mercy’s tail. Went to pull it out….and realized it was from a thorn bush! Very sharp! Great reminder that today is Good Friday. Although these are much smaller than the ones Jesus wore, it was a wonderful reminder of His mercy on us. A reminder of His love. We deserve nothing, but His love will save us if we trust and believe in him.
