Board Chairman Tim Beck and Vice President Josh Taylor from Squab Producers of California were guest lecturers for Modesto Junior College's poultry department.

Whether these students begin their own family farms, become Ag teachers who promote growing squab to their students, or are simply informed consumers of this delicious delicacy… our future resides in building awareness around why our squab is Uncommonly Good Poultry.

Squab Producers of California was proud to be involved with this year's California Ag Teachers' Association Annual Mid-Winter Institute!

Josh Taylor (VP of Sales & Business Development) taught in the classroom, while Lloyd Wagner (Board Secretary) and James Miller instructed on squab husbandry at their farm, and Dalton Rasmussen (President) provided a tour of our USDA processing plant. We are truly grateful for the dedicated educators who are inspiring the next generation of agriculture!

California Poultry Federation's annual conference in Monterey is always a highlight of the year. Industry members gather for two days to celebrate the year’s accomplishments and hear guest speakers discuss topics of interest in the areas of marketing, government affairs, and future trends for the poultry industry.

Returning to our roots! Squab Producers of California was able to visit the Introduction to Poultry Science class at Modesto Junior College this week.

Board Chairman Tim Beck and President Dalton Rasmussen both started their Poultry Science education on the West Campus; while Director of Business Development Josh Taylor was part of MJC's Animal Science department.

Thank you Tim Truax for inviting us to be guest speakers. It was truly a pleasure to inform the next generation about our "Uncommonly Good Poultry"!
