Last week of the season for VanderHelm Farms. July 25 is the last day we will be open in 2026. Come out to the farm this week to pick blueberries, peaches, nectaplums, and nectarines. You can also stop by the Streetcar farms stand until Friday for blueberries, peaches, nectarines, nectaplums, tomatoes, peppers, microgreens, honey and jams.

Today is July 13 and we have one or two more weeks of the best fruit available. The upick barn is open for picking Monday through Saturday 8am to 3pm the days are getting hotter so come early. The late season blueberries are great. There are 2 yellow peaches, Sierra Rich and Elegant Lady, they are freestone and great for fresh eating, baking, grilling and canning. White peach Klondike is sweet and delicious. The Yellow nectarine Honey Royale is many peoples favorite yellow nectarine. The Arctic Jay white freestone nectarine is a consistent taste test winner and we agree. The SpiceZee Nectaplum is a standout in the fruit crosses, it is a really great blend of plum and nectarine flavors. The StreetCar Farm Stand has a lot of great tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and zucchini, Microgreens from GreenDigits, local jams and Olive oil. In the farm stand we also have our blueberries all stocked up. Special this week in the farm stand is 20lbs of stone fruit for $39, fill a box of all one kind or mix and match and try a little of all the fruits. The Streetcar is open Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm. Boxes are also available for purchase on our website.

It’s a great week to be picking fruit. The SpiceZee Nectaplum is ripe and you don’t want to miss it. The last of the yellow and white nectarines and the last white peach are just starting to ripen. We’ve got 2 great yellow peaches that are ripe. The blueberries are loving this weather and Blue Ribbon, Top Shelf, Legacy, Overtime and Ochlockonee are great to pick right now. The strawberries get picked out just about every day so come early to get strawberries. Hours for the upick Monday through Saturday 8am to 3pm. Hours for the Farm Stand are Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm, on Saturday we have fruit in the upick barn. The upick is open 8am to 3pm July 3 and 4.

It’s summer peach season and the peaches are sweet and juicy. Rich Lady and Sierra Rich are both excellent. Sierra Rich is has great flavor and nice balance of sweetness and acid. The perfect summer peach that will drip down your chin. Great for fresh eating, baking, and canning. It’s finally the first day of summer and our summer blueberries are definitely ready for it. Top Shelf, Blue Ribbon, and Legacy are perfect and waiting to go home with you. Fill a bucket Monday through Saturday 8am to 3pm.
