Intern Spotlight: Gaby | People Operations

One of the biggest things Gaby discovered during her internship is just how much happens behind the scenes in People Operations.

From planning and communication to collaborating with teams across Stanislaus, she quickly learned that People Operations is about much more than recruiting. At the center of it all are relationships and making sure employees, managers, and candidates have the support they need.

“My favorite part of my internship has been getting to know the team. Every interaction I’ve had has been incredibly positive, and it’s something I’ll always remember.”

Those relationships have become an important part of Gaby’s experience. From working with managers as they build their teams to getting to know her fellow interns, she’s seen firsthand how even the smallest efforts can make a meaningful difference for the people around her.

Intern Spotlight: David | Field Department

One of the biggest takeaways from David's internship has been seeing what he learned in the classroom come to life. Spending time in the fields during the Fresh Pack has given him a whole new appreciation for the scale of the operation and everything that goes into growing great tomatoes.

"My favorite part of the internship has been being out in the field every day and seeing things I've learned about at Fresno State come to life."

What started as concepts in the classroom became real-world experiences, giving David a deeper understanding of agriculture and the journey that begins long before tomatoes ever reach the plant.

Before our tomatoes make their way into the can, there’s one more set of experienced eyes watching closely. Our sorters stand along the moving lines, looking at color and shape and making sure the tomatoes moving forward meet the Stanislaus standard.

Many of our sorters return season after season, bringing with them an experience you can’t teach overnight. They know what they’re looking for, they know how quickly they need to move, and they take pride in getting it right.

It takes experience, good judgment, and a trained eye to do what they do. While the tomatoes may move quickly, our sorters know exactly what to look for.

When quality matters as much as it does at Stanislaus, every detail counts. Our sorters are an important part of protecting that quality and making sure what goes into each can is something we can all be proud of.

To our sorting teams and the supervisors supporting them throughout Fresh Pack, thank you for the pride and experience you bring to the line season after season. 🍅

Intern Spotlight: Shaunak | Ingredient Purchasing

One of the biggest lessons Shaunak is taking away from his internship is realizing how connected every part of the operation really is.

What started as learning about Ingredient Purchasing became an opportunity to understand how every department, every process, and every person works together to bring Fresh Pack to life.

"Every single day presents different challenges and tasks. It has allowed me to learn about a wide variety of things on the plant and how and why each of them has an impact on our production."

As his understanding of the operation grew, so did his appreciation for how each piece fits into the bigger picture.

You've probably seen the red bump caps around the plant, but do you know what the team wearing them does?

Those red bump caps belong to members of our Quality Control team, and during our Fresh Pack tomato season, you'll find them everywhere.

From checking weights and temperatures to monitoring metal detectors and inspecting products, the QC team keeps a close eye on the details at different points along the way. Their work helps make sure our products meet the high quality standards Stanislaus is known for.

So, the next time you spot a red bump cap around the plant, now you know who's underneath it!

Terri encouraged her son Danny to give working at Stanislaus a try. Today, they're both part of our Quality Control team, each with their own experience, knowledge, and plenty they've learned from one another along the way.

They may work different shifts, but their work still connects. When Danny learns something new, he'll share it with his mom, whether it's a different way of doing something or a heads-up about what she might see during her shift. And Terri does the same for him.

Terri smiled as she shared that sometimes, she's the one learning from Danny. He's always looking out for her, sharing what he knows and finding ways to make things run more smoothly.

There's a lot of pride in the way Terri talks about her son, but what stands out most is the way they continue to learn from each other. After six years at Stanislaus, they've each built their own experience while still being willing to share what they know and help one another grow.

Sometimes the people who help us become better at what we do are the ones closest to us.

Thank you, Terri and Danny, for sharing a little piece of your story with us and reminding us that learning really does go both ways.

Intern Spotlight: Jenna | Brand Marketing

One of the biggest lessons Jenna is taking away from her internship isn't about social media or creating content. It's about seeing Marketing through a completely different lens.

"The best Marketing is unreasonably hospitable and incredibly intentional."

That perspective came from spending the summer learning alongside the Brand Marketing team, asking thoughtful questions, exploring new ideas, and seeing the purpose behind the work.

One of Jenna's favorite parts of her internship has been building relationships across departments and learning from the people around her. Those connections, along with her curiosity and willingness to keep learning, have shaped her experience in ways she never expected.

One of the biggest surprises for Caitlyn was realizing just how much every detail matters.

From participating in olive oil tastings to helping collect new data during Fresh Pack, she discovered that Quality Control is about much more than checking products. It's about asking questions, making observations, and learning something new every day.

"Every result is a new piece of information discovered."

That mindset changed the way she looks at quality. What once seemed like small details became opportunities to contribute to something bigger.

Happy National Intern Day! 🍅

This summer, our interns have been getting a behind-the-scenes look at Fresh Pack while learning alongside teams across Stanislaus.

From the plant and fields to Quality Control, Ingredient Purchasing, and Marketing, they've experienced different parts of our operation while working alongside the people who make it all happen.

Along the way, they've each walked away with something a little different.

Congratulations, Graciela!

Today we're celebrating Graciela as she steps into her new role as Sanitation Crew Leader.

For the past 24 years, Graciela has been a valued member of the Stanislaus team. Known for always being willing to lend a helping hand and for being someone her teammates can count on, she has earned the respect of those around her through her dedication and dependability.

Stepping into her first leadership role is a well-deserved next step, and we're excited to see her continue supporting and leading the Sanitation team.
