Bean Tree Homesteading A place to learn old world lessons for tomorrow's self-reliant living, through love, labor and loam. We are a fully off grid solar homestead.

Our spread is nestled in the middle of a 16-acre apple orchard located in the losses hills of Iowa. Our goal is to grow and maintain our ability to be self-reliant and to help others do the same. We offer a variety of class through out the year for both adults and home school groups. In addition, we are Iowa’s oldest registered Pasture pig breeder (IPPS). We try to have piglets for people to buy e

very spring, contact us for our current stock. We also offer classes in Solar, gardening, canning, and beekeeping, Chances are if it is homestead related, we do it.
