Christina's Cover Crops

Christina's Cover Crops Providing Cover Crop planting services. Helping you with your cover crop strategies while making today sustainable for tomorrow.

Being exposed to diversity in agriculture has always been a virtue of my family's. Having many entities heavily surrounding Ag, makes a cover crop service a natural fit. Being active on the farm, working in the fields, attending top innovative networking conferences, allowed myself to branch out and be able to "think outside of the box". Accustomed to providing customer based services-planting, ha

rvesting, spraying, comes a well-rooted pursuit for better yields, higher returns, with less inputs. Providing No-Till drilling with a 40' air seeder being pulled with a John Deere 8360R. The seeder has scales on the hopper, coupled with a Gen 5 monitor in the cab, I am able to provide detailed, data reports of the completed job analysis. Also, available for sale is Winter Wheat, Rye, & Triticale seed for Fall cover crop or forage needs. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

After the corn comes off its time to start thinking about residue management for next year's crop. Running a drill across standing corn stalks in the fall, has a positive impact for breaking up residue.

Getting the fodder Chopped up and getting Soil contact onto the with the Resiude will greatly speed up the Nutrient cycling process. Equaling larger amounts Of P & K back into the soil profile.

With fertilizer on the rise it's easy to recognize the gain that cover crops can put back into your pocket.

On top:
Visually the oats are much thicker and have a heartier stand above ground. Forage rates seem to be Higher with more grazing options available.

Root Zone:
Rye has definitely pulled away into the lead this week for root growth. Rye has reached a 4" depth level, seeting us up for some compaction relief and scavenging alot of nutrients.

This is planted on our sweet corn ground. Cattle will have access to it for forage. If you are in need of A pumpkin please stop in. While you are there take a look at the field below. Nothing Is marked, encourage you to look around and see if you like what you see and how cover crops can help you on your farm
