Young Shiitake will be set up at The Beaver Dam Farm Sunflowers festival September 12-13 and 19-20. Come on out and enjoy the sunflower fields, hayrides, photo opportunities, shopping with over 100 craft and food vendors, music, fun activities, beautiful views, and mushrooms 🍄. The farm is located at 13561Lee Hwy Buchanan, VA 🌻

The dates for the 2026 Beaver Dam Farm Sunflowers festival are September 11- 20. Young Shiitake will be set up both weekends. This is a great event for the whole family. Beaver Dam Farm is located at 13561 Lee Highway, Buchanan VA.

Young Shiitake will be set up today from 12-9 at Wintergreen Resort in Roseland, Virginia for their July Jubilee. Join us for a day full of activities followed by fireworks. We'll have plenty of product and diy pre-inoculated shiitake mushroom logs to grow your own, at home!

Just wanted to say thank you to SWVAL - Southwest Virginia Alternative Living Expo for having Young Shiitake at their 2nd annual Alternative Living Expo last weekend. This is such a great event put on by an amazing group of people who are dedicated in bringing knowledge to Southwest Virginia and beyond on how to create a self-sufficient lifestyle. We met a lot of cool vendors and participants throughout the weekend. Looking forward to next year. 🍄

Join Young Shiitake tomorrow Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31for the SWVAL - Southwest Virginia Alternative Living Expo @ The Berglund Center in Roanoke, VA. This is a great event choc-full of classes and vendors serving the homesteading/alternative living community. We'll have all of our products available and we'll also be doing "how to" inoculate shiitake mushroom log demos going on at our booth. If you interested in learning about how to be more self- sufficient then this expo is for you!
