About the Farm: We strive to be good stewards of the land by maintaining and enhancing soil, water and air quality through sustainable farming practices. We encourage and support a small farm ecosystem of diverse plants, birds and pollinators. Our crops are grown without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or genetically modified organisms. We use organic certified seed and certified seed starter soil. We use organic certified compost, rotate cover crops, and mulching to encourage healthy soil and plants and to build long term fertility. We live in a “green” house using a geothermal system and solar panels. We’ve recently planted 8 acres of native trees and bushes with an easement forever protecting the stream and wildlife. The farm is also in an easement with Maryland Environmental Trust and Manor Conservancy. We believe a healthy body is inseparable from a healthy soil. Our goal is to always provide the highest quality product to all our customers. Through the CSA experience we hope to encourage healthier eating and a sense of place by reconnecting people with the land and the communities that sustains them. We also offer opportunities to donate to the Future Harvest CASA Beginner Farmer Training Program which educates new farmers in the region. I hope to see you this season for a CSA share from our farm. If you are interested, please send me an email at [email protected] or text/call 410-218-3620 and I will send you more details.

Our Story

Roberts Roost Farm LLC is a small fruit and vegetable farm in Monkton, Maryland specializing in a wide variety of the more nutritious varieties. We sell to chefs and more recently to home buyers through Chesapeake Farm to Table; we also sell produce at Roseda Beef Farm market, our neighbor. We are now opening up the opportunity for home buyers to order from Chesapeake Farm to Table (CF2T).

CF2T is an online ordering system that enables customers to buy directly from local farms in our area. As you will see, you can access photos of the products with pricing and you can order whenever you want, as opposed to getting a weekly CSA share. There are over 25 small local farms represented on the site, offering meat, fruit, cheese, eggs, herbs, honey and seasonal produce. CF2T delivers on Tuesdays and Thursdays, year-round. Delivery windows are Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9am and 3pm! Order by Sunday night for Tuesday delivery and by Tuesday night for Thursday delivery. Free delivery is included with orders over $75. If you are not home for the delivery leave a cooler out. We are hoping that you will start ordering now as the restaurant chefs, who usually keep the business going, are not ordering nearly as much. Also, soon organic transplants for you to plant in your own garden will be available on the CF2T site.

CF2T is a collection of sustainable farmers in our region that have come together to collectively strengthen our local food system and environment, while providing the freshest food which is minimally handled. Other pickup locations are being made available as we collaborate, such as Well Crafted Pizza in Hampden. If you pick up at Well Crafted there is no delivery fee. Feel free to call or text me 410-218-3620 with questions or email [email protected], the farmer manager of CF2T or call her on 443-841-2327. We are proud to be part of a team that started the Beginner Farmer Training Program offered by Future Harvest CASA which educates new farmers in the Chesapeake region with environmentally sustainable growing techniques. We donate to the Tipper-Gurley Fund and welcome your support too!
