Not for a passive rider.

Magpie 2015 15h1"
"Birdie"
This clever, athletic little guy is looking for his next human. He has been showing in the .8m-.85m with his junior owner. He likes to jump and is forgiving of mistakes. With an accurate ride, he has the stride and scope for 1.0m. He is a lot of fun, but also quirky and mischievous, and needs an assertive intermediate rider with professional assistance. I will fully disclose all sassiness that he does. He knows his lateral work, but he thinks flatwork is stupid and will lean into the aids if he's in a mood. Not for a passive rider.

He is also currently doing lessons with a novice kid doing cross rails. If you want him for that job, he will need pro rides periodically to keep him honest. Not recommended for a lesson program.

Will link a video in comments.

Asking low fives.

Big takeaway: track and rhythm are key; don't obsess about seeing the distance too far away.

Every rider can relate to the feeling of looking at a jump and seeing nothing—no hunter gap, no quiet spot, just nothing. Some people are blessed with natural ability in this arena, but is there hope for the rest of us? We talked to top hunter, jumper and equitation trainers about their methods fo...

Woodbrook Farm had a fun and successful trip down to Lexington, VA for the Maryland Horse and Pony show. Hogan, The Politician, had some tough competition in the 3'3" greens, but came away with a few good ribbons, including winning the warmup class. Captain, Blue To You, was awesome in the 2'9" USHJA division, receiving reserve champion honors, and good ribbons in the non-restricted adults.
