Birdsong Farm We are a small family homestead in Pedee, Oregon specializing in pasture raised poultry, producing duck eggs and whole chicken for sale.

We also grow vegetables, herbs and flowers without chemicals. Birdsong Farm is a small family homestead in Pedee, Oregon. Established in 2012 by artists Andy and Miranda Rommel. Our mission is to live in harmony with our piece of soil, do our best to improve it as we farm and to grow as much of our food as we can while also selling quality meat, eggs and produce to our local communities. We raise

small livestock (rabbits, ducks, chickens) that are treated with respect and give us joy while being gentle on the environment (and delicious on the plate.) Animal lovers, nature lovers, foodies and artists, Andy and Miranda know how lucky we are to live this simple lifestyle and thank YOU for your support!

Beautiful lightning show yesterday. I used to love sitting and watching lightning, listening to the thunder, feeling the electric humidity and summer rain drops.
I still do, but now that joy is tainted by the fear of fires. Such a shame.

We lifted the last tarp in the garden this weekend to plant the squash bed. Snake shangrila! TWO racers and a few really gorgeous garter snakes. (Racers are a not-often seen species for us. And we never get gopher snakes for some reason.)
Sadly, they kept returning to the bed looking for their tunnels 🥺🥺🥺. I'm worried they may have had eggs already? I don't know much about the lifecycle of snakes. I just know these folks are absolutely gorgeous and I'm so glad they're here.

We are now offering a sliding scale for our pasture raised duck eggs from $7-9 per dozen. Times are tough and folks need high quality protein and healthy fats, and we need to cover our expenses. Pay what you can, no questions asked.

We can deliver to Albany on most Tuesday evenings (at 6:45 at the Armory Building off Knox Butte) and will be in Corvallis this Friday afternoon.

Please let me know by 3 pm if you'd like eggs tonight!
