We love our Monongahela Market!
A farmer's work is never done. My maternal grandparents owned a farm west of Waynesburg when I was a child. When I would visit in the summer, Granddad was always in the fields doing something. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Michelle Dehosse and LJ Kahl for organizing this past year's Monongahela Farmers Market. Michelle's prep work and LJ's onsite work should not go unnoticed. Thank you to EQT for providing the music and the Mid Mon-Mon Valley Academy for the Arts, inc. for lining up the musicians. A well deserved round of accolades go out to Farmer Fred of Hardin Farm. His tables filled each week with fresh produce made many people happy. I must also thank all of our vendors who for the many weeks of the summer set up their wares for the community's patrons. And lastly, THANK YOU, the consumer, the residents of the Valley, the people who visited Chess Park every Friday, for your support.
