EVO is one of the newest additions to the Charlotte food scene, and they deserve to be celebrated.

They opened just 7 weeks ago, and if you haven’t heard of them yet—you have now.

We personally cannot wait to explore more of this menu, and that says a lot coming from us. We aren’t frequent flyers at many places. Yes, we create food content, but we don’t just eat anywhere. We have standards, and EVO exceeded them.

And when we say you’re greeted the moment you walk in, we mean it. You may not even see the face yet, but the second you cross that threshold, you’ll hear someone welcoming you and thanking you for coming in. That kind of hospitality matters.

Calling the food “good” almost feels disrespectful. 😂 This is a scratch-made kitchen, and you can taste the difference. Scratch kitchens simply don’t get enough credit.

Our only request to EVO: please don’t change a single thing. Because what we experienced is exactly what we hope every person walking through those doors gets to experience.

Beyond impressed. And yes… we’ll be back. 👏🏽

The good, the bad and the “this could’ve been so much better.” 👀

They didn’t have our reservation down, but quickly found us seating—a plus. The 6:30 event didn’t actually start until 7:05, and from there the organization struggled. Dishes and cocktails came out randomly instead of with their intended pairings, and unfortunately, the entrées just weren’t hitting for us.

BUT hear us out!

At $65 for four courses and four cocktails, the value is hard to argue. The cocktails alone could justify the price. But we came to drink AND dine, so we definitely wanted more from the food.

Thankfully, our tablemates saved the night! 😂 We laughed, celebrated multiple birthdays and made the best of the evening.

The concept has serious potential. Better organization, timely drink pairings and stronger ex*****on in the kitchen could make this phenomenal.

And guess what? The Tequila Pairing is coming at the end of October—and we’ll be there. 👀🥃

If Middle Eastern food is your thing—or you’ve been wanting to explore it—Naf Naf makes it easy. Take the guesswork out of ordering and choose one of their signature dishes, or build your own exactly how you like it.

Start with a pita, bowl, salad or plate, then load it up with your choice of protein, fresh toppings and sauces. And don’t overlook that freshly baked pita because THAT deserves some attention of its own. 👀

Fresh, flavorful and completely customizable. The hardest part might be figuring out what combination you’re trying next.

Balm, Bites & Beverages has to be one of the best ways to spend a Saturday. 💄🥐🍸

We started the day at for breakfast, and let’s just say…the “small bites” weren’t nearly as small as we expected. 😂 Between the tasty drinks, baked goods and a delicious avocado toast, it was definitely worth the stop.

From there, we did a little shopping—and by “a little,” I mean makeup, skincare and fragrances were at the top of the list. While in London, I purchased Daphne Bouquet, and since it was my fragrance of the day, it became the motivation to find something equally beautiful to add to my collection.

Did I find one? Maybe more than one. 👀 You’ll just have to wait and see what came home with me.

We finished the day at in Uptown, where our server KoKo truly made the experience outstanding. The food was good, the cocktails were even better, and it was the perfect way to wrap up the evening.

If you’re looking for a quieter date-night spot or somewhere to settle in for cocktails with friends after dinner, Lila is definitely one to keep on your list.

Yeah…we Saturdayed correctly. 😂🥂

The Cheesecake Factory’s Cajun Salmon is worth the trip! 🔥

Flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and definitely one of those menu items we’d order again. We’re giving it a solid 8.5/10.

Can we be transparent for a minute?

We really want to grow this community beyond our local reach.

The support we receive at home has been phenomenal, but as we continue traveling, we want All We Do Is Food Around to become a community made up of people from all of the cities and towns we visit—not just people watching us visit them.

We want to highlight the places we genuinely enjoyed, hit some of the spots everybody is talking about, find some gems we knew nothing about, and still give you our honest opinion every single time.

SLAP! Hand-Ripped Noodles is a perfect example. Like so many places we’ve visited, it landed on our radar because of the public response. Add hand-pulled noodles—which we absolutely LOVE—and we needed to see what the hype was about for ourselves.

We want more moments like that.

So here’s where we need your help. When we come to your city, TALK TO US. Tell us where we need to eat. Tell us what’s overrated. Tell us about the little spot everybody local knows but tourists would drive right past. Share our posts with somebody who lives in the next city we’re headed to.

We don’t have the perfect formula for building this bigger yet, but we know engagement is a huge part of it. And we’d much rather build this community WITH you than simply chase numbers.

Charlotte has shown us an incredible amount of love. Now we’re ready to see just how far we can take this thing.
