Working on the roof and my farmers tan today!

We’re getting closer to opening up our store and more importantly filling it with flowers and food. I planted 5 rows in the long field, and we got the front half of the store shingled while Duncan took a nap!

Shooting for a June 18 opening date. Who thinks we can get there?

We have had a busy busy Sunday!

Split a beehive, harvested my first big bucket of flowers, delivered a custom bouquet order, watered the greenhouses, planted pots, then headed on the mountain to plant trees and cut some logs to be milled up.

We’re just getting home and setting up our plant sale for Monday from 8-noon again! I refilled all of the trays, split some more dahlias, and put fertilizer on everything one more time.

We will have tomatoes, peppers, dahlias, and irises again! PLUS! A few bouquets for you to take on your Memorial Day visits. Can’t wait to see you in the morning! 🌱🤍

I have been prepping for the plant sale all day! I am so excited!!!! It feels like we are really doing it!

Pic 2 - a friend came over for early bird garden purchases tonight. She left with a box of iris, dahlias, a cut flower garden tray, and a mix of veggies.
Pic 3 - sheeting is on the farmstore roof!
Pic 4 - I’ve been splitting dahlias and listening to Theo of Golden for 2 days. These little mountains of tubers are pre-sprouted and ready for Saturday.

Farmstore update 🔨

Building this is my actual dream come true!! Five years in the making and we are finally here. The first season I opened, I had opened up my greenhouse office/ germination house as the pickup space, year two we held pickup in the office, year three in the barn workshop, and year four straight out of the walk-in cooler.

Your bouquet pickup just got soooo much easier! We will have two large glass front refrigerators that will be FULL of bouquets and veggies from June-October! Every day we make it a few steps closer and every day I get a little more excited 🌼

2026 bouquet subscriptions are live!!

This year has already been full of new challenges. I have been working hard to determine the best ways to grow an efficient crop of flowers this year. Drought has been a concern for us just like it is for anyone growing a crop in our state, but we have built resilient infrastructure over the last 5 years. With some early season adjustments, I feel confident I will be able to produce another beautiful CSA year.

We made it through two cold snaps, stoking fires through the night, record high temps that threatened our cold favoring seedlings, and I can finally say with surety we will be able to give you all another great year!

We will keep choosing this farm, no matter the challenges being thrown our way. Even through drought, harsh frosts, and hot springs. Year 5 is going to be full of challenges just like every other has been, but together we’ll work our way through them one day at a time. We’ll keep choosing you like you keep choosing us!
