All pollinators are so important! Did you know that the monarch butterfly is on the brink of extinction? We humans can help them out!

We’ve been raising monarch butterflies for the past three years!

We’ve given some of you some eggs to hatch, raise, and release, but if you’d like to try your hand in this experience and responsibility, please reach out! We’re here to educate, help, and maybe introduce this passion in you!

Did you know that less than 5% of monarch eggs survive to become butterflies?

Reach out if you’d like to try… the commitment is foraging for milkweed for two weeks (very easy, and I have a list of places all around town)!

Sadly, over the last few years, the numbers of this magnificent insect have been dropping rapidly due to the combination of climate changes, destruction of their habitat and food plants, as well as the widespread use of pesticides and herbicides.

Milk W**d Monarch Butterfly Mix

This MONARCH mix will give you wildflowers known to be favorites of Monarch Butterflies for nectar source and food for larval growth. Adult monarchs follow nectar corridors, a series of habitat patches of plants that flower at appropriate times during the spring and fall migrations. They provide stopping off points for the butterflies to feed and stock up during their long migrations. Save the seeds to re-sow your annuals each year! All are pure and non-GMO with no fillers. A mixture of annuals and perennials .

Included are:

Siberian Wallflower (Cheiranthus allionii), Candytuft (Iberis umbellata), Rocket Larkspur (Consolida ajacis), Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea), Indian Blanket (Gaillardia pulchella), Zinnia 'Formula Mix" (Zinna elegans), Gayfeather (Liatris spicata), Cosmos Sensation ( Cosmos bipinnatus), Sulphur Cosmos (Cosmos suphureus), Mexican Sunflower (Tithonia rotundifolia), Vervain (Verbena strita), Smooth Aster (Aster laevis), Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa)

Plants in your wildflower garden, and attract monarchs.

¿Want bloobs? We have two blueberry varieties! These are our “Blue Gold” crop. Bluegold blueberry is a mid-season variety that is highly productive, with superior quality berries for midseason. Fruit ripening is concentrated, with harvesting in 1 or 2 picks which means when they’re mature, we’ll have you back TWICE to pick your own!!

We are on the corner of Hattertown and Stanley Road which is where our name came from. We have two sprouting kids who we call “Buddy,” so, Two Buds Farm.
