We saved a whole strawberry field for last.

For our final U-pick of the season, we’re opening the field we planted this spring for the very first time, plus our original strawberry field. Both will be open for picking this Saturday.

If you never got around to that jam project or want to fill the freezer before winter, this is your last chance. There are plenty of berries out there.

Saturday, September 12 | 9 AM–12 PM

Available for U-pick: strawberries, grapes + cut flowers.

The farmstand will also be stocked with eggs, tomatoes + pumpkins.

A little U-pick update as we head into the last stretch of the season.

We’ll be closed this Saturday, September 5. Our final U-pick day of the year will be Saturday, September 12 from 9 AM–12 PM, with flowers, strawberries, and grapes available for picking.

The farmstand will keep going through late October, stocked with tomatoes, fresh and dried bouquets, decorative gourds, pumpkins, and other seasonal offerings.

This year was a bit of a pumpkin experiment for us, and we’re excited to grow a lot more for U-pick next year. For now, the extras from this year’s crop will be making their way to the farmstand as they’re ready.

See you on the farm.

Did you know that most bamboo only flowers once in its lifetime?

Depending on the species, bamboo may go decades without blooming. But when it finally does flower, the plant often declines and dies shortly afterward. It’s one of the more fascinating life cycles in the plant world.

This summer, a section of bamboo here at Terra Valley Farms reached that stage. Rather than simply replacing it, we’re using this as an opportunity to do something we think is even better.

With the help of BELLA VISTA LANDSCAPING we’ve already begun removing the bamboo and restoring the edge of the slough by expanding the native garden we installed last year. Over time, this restoration will provide better habitat for wildlife, support pollinators, strengthen this sensitive ecosystem, and create a beautiful native forest backdrop for our wedding ceremonies.

It’s exciting when a natural change becomes an opportunity to leave the land a little better than we found it.

A quick update as we head into the second half of August.

For the rest of the month, u-pick will be open **Saturdays only from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM** with strawberries and our flower fields available.

We’ve also come up with a new way to share our mulberries. From **9:30-10:30 AM**, a member of our team will shake the trees onto tarps so everyone can harvest without damaging the trees. We ask that you please limit your harvest to **one pint per household** so more families have a chance to enjoy them. If this system doesn’t work, we’ll likely move to a limited ticketed harvest in the future.

The farmstand is also stocked with seasonal produce, fresh chicken and duck eggs, and bouquets picked right here on the farm.

Don’t forget, our next **Field & Flow Yoga** class is **Saturday, August 30 at 10:00 AM**. Register through the link in our bio, then enjoy u-pick after class during one of the quietest mornings at the farm.

See you on the farm.

This Week at the Farm

Raspberry and blueberry season is starting to wind down, but there’s still plenty to pick this week. Strawberries continue to produce, our flower fields are looking better every day, and we’re adding more fresh produce to the farmstand daily. You’ll also find fresh bouquets along with both chicken and duck eggs available while supplies last.

We’ve made the decision to close mulberry U-pick for the remainder of the season. Unfortunately, we’ve had repeated damage to the trees from people pulling branches down to reach fruit. If we see anyone pulling branches, climbing the trees, or otherwise damaging them, you will be asked to leave the property immediately.

Thank you to everyone who treats our farm with care. Your respect for the fields, plants, and trees helps us keep this place open for everyone to enjoy.

Sorry for the delay getting this week’s update out. It’s been a busy week, and if I’m being honest, I’m tired.

We will be open Friday and Saturday from 9 AM–12 PM. Current availability and pricing are listed above.

As we near the end of the season, we simply can’t predict exactly when we’ll sell out. It all depends on what ripens, how many people come out, and how quickly the fruit gets picked. We may have berries until noon, or we may sell out earlier.

If you arrive after we’ve sold out, we understand that’s disappointing. But please don’t take that frustration out on our staff. They’re working hard and sharing the most accurate information they have.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported our little farm this season. We appreciate you, and we’ll see you this weekend.
