Reviewing Pawpaw’s cull-cow list for today’s roundup. We started early to beat the heat! Our main goal today was treating flies. Every cow and calf got a good dose of pour-on ivermectin and a permethrin ear tag.

We got a ton of feedback on our video treating this calf for scours. Some things to look into, some helpful ideas to try and a wild comment or two that gave us a laugh. The bottom line is, there are a million opinions and no single right answer when it comes to livestock care. This is what works for us and we’re happy to share what we’ve learned through experience but at the end of the day, you’ve got to do what works for your farm. (And this goes for a lot more than just treating scours!)

We had a very exciting baby bird rescue last night while watering flowers. Birds built nests in all four of our hanging baskets this year and we’ve all been very invested in the hatching & baby bird happenings!
