⭐Farm Fresh Fridays⭐ are just around the corner starting next week! There are so many farmers markets out there, so I wanted to take a minute to share with you what you can find when you visit the MFM.

🎶We hire local musicians to set the tone and vibe for the Market each week to perform in our beautiful gazebo
🌽We allow 1 artisan a week through our Visiting Vendor program
🍎We do not have food trucks
🍉Sunset Farm has Organically grown and certified produce and our other farmers use safe methods of pest management
🍒We are not Producer only and while Laurel Glen Farm and Sunset Farm do not bring produce from other farms, Gazy Brothers does. If we remove that
restriction, you wouldn't have early greenhouse tomatoes, blueberries, corn, etc...as none of our farmers grow these items for Market sale themselves.
🐾We are located on Town property, so dogs and their well behaved owners are always welcome!
🍓 Since we are small-ish, we tend to focus on offering a variety and being your one stop shopping solution. This means you won't find 4 bakers, 3 honey 'farmers' etc...
🚜Our FREE kids program 'Market Minis' provides a fun and engaging agricultural experience for our youngest farmers market shoppers
😋 The Tasting Tent is where you can find FREE samples from 2 vendors/farmers each and every week.

🍅And lastly....while 12 of our 26 vendors are registered Farms, we require the others to use CT Grown ingredients in their products as often as possible (other than our service or value add vendors). Vendors AND Farmers supporting the CT Grown philosophy is what drives us.

Farm Fresh Fridays isn't just for the adults, we like to bring the kids👶 in to the fun too. Teaching children about the benefits of eating fresh produce 🥕, supporting local, community gathering, and talking directly to those that grow/raise their food 👩‍🌾 is immeasurable. This is why we created ⭐Market Minis⭐ now in it's 6th season and supported 100% by local donations and our Sponsors. Each week the kids will be making their own refrigerator pickles, blueberry 'sparklers', homemade popsicle treats, 'purple lemonade', taste challenges, food science experiments and so much more.

This FREE program is limited to 300 children each season, so sign your child/ren up today and be sure to stop by the Market Minis table each week to grab their enrollment gift, punch card and of course try out the activity!

Fun Fact...People who volunteer at Farmers Markets are special and just darn good looking 😂

We had our annual MFM Volunteer kick off dinner last night where I get to share all the wonderful additions, changes and celebrations coming our way this season. It is my favorite way to reconnect with some of my favorite people💚

This 'green shirt girl gang' as they are affectionately called keep me afloat and pull off an amazing feat week after week as a volunteer crew that puts in over 800 hours each year .

Fun fact, almost all of our farmers/vendors from last year are all coming back! It's wonderful to see them excited to return and serve our community. They'll be bringing the freshest produce and products around that are all grown, raised or created less than 35 miles away from our Market right here in CT.

We are at the 3 week countdown to Opening Day! Time to share who our new vendors and farmers will be this season 💚

🌺 will be joining us with their traditional farmers market beauties, but they will also have Pick Your Own opportunities to share along with DIY workshops they offer 🌸🌼
🍇 will be coming back to the fam after a brief hiatus and we are excited to have their CT Grown bevvies back on the Green
🍰 is a vegan bakery (and more!) and you will be blown away by the variety of offerings and options Larianne will be whipping up for you
🔪and will be officially joining us full time so be sure to grab your cutlery, scissors, machetes (no judgement), lawn shears etc to drop off and have sharpened while you shop

Can't wait for you to meet our new friends on Opening Day June 19th!
