Yesterday, on a beautiful fall-like afternoon, we said goodbye to one of the very best.

Tikki was laid to rest here at Wisteria Farm, in a beautiful spot overlooking the outdoor arena—a place where he spent so many years teaching, giving confidence, winning ribbons, and helping shape the riders who were lucky enough to sit on his back.

It is nearly impossible to put into words what this horse has meant to our family and to Wisteria Farm.

Tikki has been such a massive part of Callan O’Toole’s show career and the partner behind so many incredible memories and accomplishments. He taught him lessons that went far beyond riding—confidence, determination, patience, trust, and what it means to truly love and appreciate a great horse.

But Tikki’s story belongs to so many more than just us.

Over the years, countless Wisteria Farm students had the privilege of learning from him. He carried children into the show ring, helped them find their confidence, forgave their mistakes, celebrated their victories and quietly taught them lessons they probably didn’t even realize they were learning at the time.

Those are the horses and ponies that change lives.

Tikki was truly one in a million. The kind you spend a lifetime in this sport hoping to find. There will never be another one quite like him, and there will never be a way to replace the space he leaves behind.

But there is something incredibly peaceful about knowing that he will always be here.

From his resting place, he overlooks the outdoor arena where the next generation of Wisteria Farm kids will learn to ride, chase their dreams, fall off, get back on, win some, lose some and grow up loving this sport—just as so many children did with Tikki beneath them.

What a privilege it was to have him these past ten years.

What a gift he gave us.

And what a legacy he leaves behind.

Rest easy, sweet Tikki. 🤍💜🤍

🍂Averi Morgan & Legally Blonde- 3rd in the pre green eq flat

🍂Julianna Hazzard & Spot On- Champion Short Stirrup Equitation 🏆, 1st Short Stirrup Hunter O/F, 3rd in the under saddle and 2nd in the eq flat.

🍂Hazel Alden & Miss Mia- Champion Saturday & Sunday in the Green Rider Crossrail Hunter 🏆Hazels hard work payed off in this move up to full courses!

🍂Finley Armond & Clovermeade Razzbunny- Reserve Champion Green Rider Eq 🏆 1st in the eq flat, 1st in the undersaddle and several top 3 placings over fences. We loved watching this pair this weekend 😍

🍂Abigail Prater & Chunky Munky- 🥇Champion 11 & under Eq, 3rd in the .65 and 2nd & 3rd in the .70 jumpers
