A larger The Big E food post is coming, but absolutely felt the need to spotlight Nola Cajun kitchen and Raw Bar with their own post for a couple of reasons:
1) THE FOOD! Both of my favorite bites at the entire fair this year were right here. The Cajun Fried Hushpuppy Lobster Tail is just perfection. 11/10, must have, get there pick! The balance of buttery, perfectly cooked lobster inside a hushpuppy batter, hot honey, creole aioli (I am not an aioli guy, but even I say keep the aioli because it brings an important flavor profile), and finished with a fresh, vibrant corn salsa and scallions. Crispy batter gives way to tender lobster in a perfect bite. Then the 10/10 sticky ribs. Tender, fall off the bone ribs in a sweet asian glaze with just a touch of spice. I devoured both of these, throwing my diet out the window for the day, but worth it.
2) THE PEOPLE! Maybe it is because they know how good the food is, but this whole team was happy to be there, laughing with me while talking pictures and serving lines of people with speed and a smile.
