The Story of Lynnwood
Our farm is just outside the town of Monroe, NC and is part of my family’s original homeplace. My grandparents had owned the land for generations and my Dad continued to farm the land until he developed Parkinson’s almost 25 years ago. My Dad and I had talked about raising Alpacas for years but my Real Estate career was always too busy and it always seemed to be a dream instead of a reality. After loosing my Dad in a tragic accident last fall my husband and I decided to return to the farm as a hobby while I continued to work in Real Estate. Our first “critters” were Bob & Miss Ruby who were affectionately named after my grandparents. My love for goats has turned into a breeding business and hopefully one day we can offer our kids to homes to enjoy them as much as we do. My husband also wanted to stop the support of high grocery prices and we now have chickens for eggs and will have a few goats to milk. We adopted two of the sweetest bulls you could imagine so we now have a Jersey & an Angus. Just keep checking our page or come by and maybe you will get “farm fever” as well.
