Flying Tiger Brewery Flying Tiger Brewery & Pizza Bar Flying Tiger Brewery is proudly brewed and canned in Monroe, LA! Gen. Chennault. We know life is short, so Drink Heroic Beer!

Our facilities include a 15bbl brew house, 2000 square foot taproom & a large green space with beer garden. We choose the name Flying Tiger Brewery because of the many local connections to the original Flying Tigers AVG in Monroe, LA. Chennault who lead the Flying Tigers in WWII and graduated from Louisiana State University lived in Monroe. Additionally, the Chennault Aviation & Military Museum which serves to preserve the legacy of the Flying Tigers AVG as well as other local military history is located in Monroe and is named after Gen. The University of Louisiana Monroe choose "WARHAWK"​ as their new mascot in 2006 to pay homage to the iconic shark mouth Curtis P-40 Warhawk fighter plane the Flying Tigers flew in WWII. Two b**r releases, one day! We’re twinning down here at the brewery while stocking the cooler for today’s release. We’re bringing the thunder with our annual Oktoberfest release and the addition of our new Festbier. Both bringing big bready malt notes, Oktoberfest is a higher abv at 7.2% with caramel notes and Festbier is smooth 5.4%abv with a balance of crisp hops and minerality from Munichs water makeup that we matched. That’s right folks, you read it correctly. Two b**r releases, one day! It’s that time of year for all the b**r brewers of the world to come together and flood the market with Oktoberfest b**rs! Since we are no longer in distribution, we don’t have to get ours out in July…we can let it sit in the tank and do what Oktoberfests do best…condition. Hitting the taps and to-go cooler up front tomorrow at 11am, we welcome the return of our less traditional 7.2% banger Oktoberfest. Big notes of bread and subtle undertones of caramel, this high gravity Marzen hasn’t disappointed since we designed it almost 10 years ago. Available on draft and in 16oz/4pks to go. But this year we went one step further and brewed a super traditional Festbier. Coming in at 5.4%, this guy has big malt notes from the Munich additions, a nice balance of earthiness from the Saaz hops, and a very distinct minerality from the water chemistry we used to match Munich, Germany’s water profile. It too is available on draft and in 6PK/12oz cans to go. Get up, get out, and get your Festbiers starting Saturday at 11am!! **r

Tonight is the night! We’ve added an additional week of trivia to celebrate the life of Dolly Parton and to help raise money for the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana. There will be a Dolly themed cocktail, the best craft pizza in NELA, and as always heroic b**r on tap. We will be donating a portion of tonight’s sales to the Children’s Coalition and we are stepping up the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. 3rd place trivia winners will receive a $50 gift card, 2nd place a $75 gift card, and 1st place gets a $100 gift card!
