Lots of folks assume I am new to chickens because my ‘page’ is fairly new. I am an OG lol I’ve had chickens for going on eight years now. I started this page when I became comfortable enough that I was producing quality standard of breed Silkies. They are not perfect nor are they all show quality birds, but that’s the goal!
I have been working on my little chicken town for almost a year now. Before that I built my own coops and runs by hand. We also have satin chickens, pigs, ducks and turkeys on this little farm.
I have almost always had some sort of garden and this year I’ve added blueberries, blackberries and fruit trees (plum, apple and pear). First year for potatoes and they are doing great- any advice on farming is always welcomed!
