I’ve been a little MIA lately. Life keeps lifeing, and sometimes I find myself in a slump that’s a little harder to climb out of. Grief is a rough road, and some days I handle it better than others. ❤️
This past weekend, though, we got to celebrate my son, Tanner, with a memorial picnic. We laughed, shared stories, remembered him, and were surrounded by some pretty amazing people. And somehow, through all of that love, we were able to raise $6,800 for our local Children’s Aid Home. ❤️
$6,800!!! That’s pretty darn amazing.
There are days when losing Tanner knocks the wind right out of me. Days when I don’t feel like doing much of anything. But I also know exactly what he’d say if he could see me sitting around feeling sorry for myself…
“Mom, get your head out of your ass and get back to it.” 😂❤️
So here I am.
I’m back at it. Back to work. Back to slinging dip. Back to doing what I do, carrying Tanner with me every step of the way.
Life keeps lifeing. Grief keeps showing up. But so does love. And somehow, we just keep going. ❤️
Back to slinging dip — because apparently my kid is still bossing me around from Heaven. 😂❤️
