The first two loads of bees are heading west for almond pollination! There’s unfortunately not enough honey bees on the west coast to pollinate almonds grown so we send our bees over from Florida to help the almond farmers increase their yields of almonds!
It’s estimated that 1.6 million colonies are required in California to pollinate the almonds!

Fall is here which means the bees are heading to Florida!
We send our bee colonies to Florida for the winter months for the warmer climate. Doing this will allow the bees more time to forage and increase the chances of survival for each colony. The possibility of harsh winters in New Jersey does not provide the optimal conditions for honeybees to flourish.
