Skalbite Family Farms was originally founded in 1955 as Skalbite Dairy Farm by Janis (Yah-nis) and Elza Skalbite. The farm operated as a pasture based dairy until the mid 1980s when they passed the operation to their son Janis. The dairy was dissolved and the farm began experimenting in pasture based livestock production. In 2009, Janis passed away leaving the farm to his son Robert. The farm curr

ently produces pigs and Registered Belted Galloway Beef Cattle on pasture supplying local consumers and restaurants. Our beef is 100% grass-fed and none of our animals are ever given hormones or antibiotics. The farm is currently working to expand to pasture based poultry and egg production as well.
