We are a somewhat ordinary family embarking on an extraordinary path. For years we dreamed of taking our family out of the city and enjoying a life provided mostly by the land. After a difficult series of months we have finally achieved that goal, so join us as we make the move from Raleigh, North Carolina to the mountains of Maine. That's the nice side of the coin, on the other side of the coin is that there is a small cabin that needs a lot of T.L.C. to be liveable and all of the other challenges we will face preparing for this first winter and life near the Appalachian trail.
