A pile full of ram lambs! Finally got them separated from the girls and wethers. There are a couple I especially like the looks of, and today (at least) they are all such well behaved gentlemen!

Next, Mr. Wattles is@going to come down and start running classes on “The way of the Ram”; including, I worry, “how to maximize your obnoxiousness”.

Honestly, I’d rather QB run the school this year, but he has a special assignment starting right after Bastille Day.

In the barn we had to crank the fans to 11 to keep the milkers cool. But the dry girls down in the holler we smart enough to hang in the breezy shade and seemed to be weathering this scorcher fine.

The pizzelles for the gelato sandwiches got an upgrade for summer. After some research and experimentation, we swapped out the cow butter for coconut oil. Going with refined so as not to push competing flavors, but the new end product holds up well in the freezer (and the hand) and has been very positively received by our test board.

Stinky had a bit of an episode yesterday but she seems much more together today. She fell down hill and got stuck and her medalert failed to activate. Panda hung with her till some bipedal showed up and righted her. Ask any teenager, life is tough when you’re 15 and tougher when you’re a sheep!

Anyone out there in dairy land looking for an absolutely charming brown ram lamb? Long story about why he was born yesterday, but at least it wasn’t June yet!

Mom did 975lbs/185 days last year as a yearling and her mom did 1320/183 as an old fart. Some of our better genetics and a great color. We’ll castrate shortly so let me know quick!
