The art of skirting- spent about an hour rough skirting fiber today for a potential customer- see all the little stuff on the ground? Yea- thats all the crap the fiber carries through its life- skirting it, much like winnowing, lets the junk and heavy stuff fall, leaving the lighter, softer and much more useful fiber behind- i feel a blog coming on!

Ive been playing with a new dye brand- i have taken almost the last of my white yarns to the dye pot with exciting results! (I found one more skein while reorganizing inventory... hmmm🤔)

Recently we adopted a horse as a result of the LNU complex- she was a blessing that, like all things, dropped in my lap when I wasnt looking and was totally unprepared.

We both work shifts that do not share days off so we have been sacrificing sleep (him more than I) to reinforce the "rain shelter" i threw up in the middle of a storm a few years ago while we get ready to finally build a more permanent structure -
