Let’s get to know the animals of Snowy River Farm! Ranging in size from 4lbs to 1250lbs, they all offer something fun and wonderful to our farm. So without further ado…
Meet the Animals of Snowy River Farm: “Tega”.
It seems only fitting to start with the matriarch animal of our farm, “Tega” (reg. name UWP AI AC URO1 UAG1 Tega Van Cher Car CSAU Fr Brevet CGC). “Tega” is a 12 year old Belgian Malinois who was named after one of MSUPD’s original police K9s.
Tega’s main role on the farm is that of protection dog. While she specializes in personal protection, she also has placement in the formal bitework sport of French Ring, receiving a nearly perfect score (minus only 1.5 pts) on her French Ring Brevet test. She has earned titles in agility, obedience, nosework and weightpull. “Tega” is an amazing trial dog. In all qualifying legs for formal competition, “Tega” has lost less than 15 points of the over 700 points possible!!
More important than her achievements, “Tega” is an amazing pet. She has an amazing off switch in the house, yet has the enthusiasm only a Malinois can offer to do ANYTHING that she’s included in. She is extremely loyal, very comical and would lay her life down to defend our family. She LOVES to roll in the grass, take naps in the sun and cuddle on the couch. She’ll also back talk with the best of them if she has to make room for me in the bed.
