We're making progress! The house roof is being replaced next week. The new barn will go right next to the old one. We're still waiting on materials for that, but hopefully they're get here soon so we can get that project going.
The tree stumps have been removed, the area has been graded, grass planted and up, so the new site is ready. We'll have to wait until winter to light up the burn pile, it's a big one! The other one in the field is about 3 times the size of this one.
You should have seen the mares do a double-take when they all walked by this morning. Now that the tin is off you can see through it, so they're like, "w-w-what's going on?
We're taking the old one down piece by piece. Yes, it would be waaaay easier to demolish it with a couple swipes of the excavator, but because there's going to be horses walking over the area, we have to pick up every stinking nail & screw. Painstaking work, but we'll thank ourselves later.
