The Heatable Eatables program is truly a labor of love for us. And this month’s feast is going to be bananas (or shall we say oranges? Lots of citrus in this cuisine).

AIN’T NOTHING BUT A PIBIL PARTY features 7 dishes from the Yucatán Peninsula, the landing spot of the asteroid that knocked out the dinos. And if you look (taste?) closely, you’ll find some nods to the Jurassic era with this meal.

Just as the asteroid charred the poor dinos, our Relleno Negro is made by charring the heck out of dried chiles, tortillas and onions. It also features what we’re calling a dino egg—a pasture-raised chicken egg from Pajaro Pastures, wrapped in pork.
