I've got to get better about regular posting 🤦♀️
The routine of 16 does twice a day has wore me thin when I spend 4-5 hours a day in the barn, come in to manage a toddler and two school aged kids, and try to cook and maintain a somewhat clean home (yeah right). BUT! If anyone needs a lovely doe in milk, here's one for you!
Taylor'd Acres CL God's Grace is officially 👀 for new pastures! Grace is gold with blue eyes, and she is packed with moonspots! She freshened 04/20/26 with twin doelings (one will be available later this week as a bottle baby).
She is a 3yo FF, and is really packing some milk! She will be put on test later this week with the rest of our herd. While she isn't the snuggliest doe, she waits patiently at the gate morning and night (while she moans and groans about waiting her turn), comes running out and puts herself on the stand like this is her 5th freshening and not her 1st. She is a doll for both machine and hand milking, and patiently waits to be let out and is easy to walk back to the pen. She has a very high udder with nice attachments, with wide teats and an absolutely lovely letdown. This is one I'm going to miss, but I have got to get my numbers down a bit more, so I am going through all of the keepers and milkers again.
5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ in milk, or she can go as a package with her bottle baby doeling! As always, we are located in Monterey, TN and are clean tested yearly for CAE, Q Fever and Johnnes with no history of abscesses. Grace is also utd on CDT, feet trimming, and all routine maintenance like copper bolus, spring Cylence, and her bose booster.
