After some serious consideration, we are temporarily suspending our sales portion of operations due to our recent "relocation" and the sudden change in weather. Here at Monterey Micros, we strive to provide our customers the highest quality products we can offer and wish to use this time to run a few test batches within the new environment to assure we can properly achieve this goal. I personally want to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will regularly post as updates become available. While we are in testing mode; there may be limited availabilities of products which we will announce on this page.

While we will still continue to provide you with healthy microgreens; we are exploring some options of "branching" out to include other items as well..... One of the possibilities we are considering is possibly reaching out into the "pet" industry by starting to grow "Cat Grass" and are reaching out to you, our audience, to gauge an interest in this prior to taking the plunge. If you may potentially be interested in this; please let me know and I will explore this further.

We are happy to announce that we will be "releasing" 3 new products starting at the Highland County Farmer's Market tomorrow afternoon...
First off; we will have a limited supply of our dehydrated microgreens powder that we posted about earlier this week. Using a low temp drying process, these micros will have a longer shelf life while maintaining all the same nutrition as our fresh cut products. These make for a great seasoning on just about every dish or can be used as a "topper" for your favorite smoothie.
Second, for all of the barbecue fanatics out there, we are introducing our Carolina Style Seasoning. Using a recipe very similar to that of a Carolina dry rub; this product would make a great addition to chicken salad or tuna, can be used as a flavoring for soup stock or even on top of deviled eggs.
The last item we will be introducing is our "house blend" SPOG seasoning. Using our own recipe and made of natural pink Himalayan salt, crushed black pepper, onion powder and garlic powder; the uses for this seasoning are totally up to your imagination.
All of our powders will come in 1 oz quantities by volume as pictured and will last quite a while as it only takes a little to go a long way. For most "common" uses; only need a pinch of any of these to add a great flavor palette to your favorite foods. Using the finest ingredients we could find as well as being all natural without any of the nasty preservatives you may find in your "generic" store brand seasonings, our "blends" are priced to move at 3.00 per jar.

Are you looking for a way to enjoy our microgreens without having to worry about keeping them refrigerated?? If so; we are happy to announce that we will soon be offering our greens in a more shelf stable means. Using a low temperature dehydrating method, our dried greens will still contain all of the healthy vitamins, minerals and nutrients without the moisture that may cause them to become less desirable in a shorter amount of time. These highly nutritious powders will be made using all of our available greens (Broccoli, Radish, Pea Shoots, Sunflower, Kale, Arugula, Cabbage) mixed with a small selection of natural seasonings (Oregano, sage, rosemary and thyme) and can serve as the perfect savory seasoning for any dish or to top your favorite smoothie for an additional "boost".

We will be set up this afternoon at Highland Farmers Market located under the pavilion in front of the Highland Center from 3:30 - 6pm. We will have all of our "usual" varieties:

Broccoli
Radish
Pea
Sunflower
"Mild" mix
"Spicy" mix

Prices are $3.50 per Oz, 3 Oz for $9 and 6 Oz for $17. Come out and join us as we work to support other local producers and farmers.

Due to a slower than normal market yesterday afternoon; we do have quite a few microgreens remaining to be sold this week. Fresh harvested this morning, these are currently sitting out to slightly remove excess moisture and will be placed in refrigerator within the next hour or so...
