Join my Gnocchi class on September 15 in Cookeville!

Gnocchi are soft, pillowy little dumplings that are surprisingly simple to make once you learn the technique. In this hands-on class, we’ll make them completely from scratch using fresh milled flour and shape each one by hand in a traditional way.

My classes are also a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, learn something new, and enjoy good company around the table. You definitely don’t need to come with someone! Many people join on their own, and it’s always fun to see new friendships form while everyone is making pasta together.

And Gnocchi aren’t the only thing on the September menu! This month I’m also teaching Garganelli, Ravioli, Tortelloni, Walnut Pesto, and Cavatelli. As always, everything is hands-on and made from scratch. Want class details or September schedule? Send me a message!

After a two-week break from pasta classes, I was definitely ready to get back to it!❤️

We kicked off September in Fairfield Glade with Spinach Gnocchi, made from scratch with fresh spinach and fresh milled flour. And yes, they really are green!💚

It was such a fun afternoon with a wonderful group. Thank you to everyone who joined me! Pasta school is officially back in session!

Happy Labor Day! I know holidays aren’t meant for labor, but I can’t help cooking. 😂 The perfect setting: homemade ravioli, a balcony by the sea, and nowhere else to be! 🌊

Some meals just don’t need much of an introduction, but this one does. Made from scratch, filled with sautéed shrimp and mashed potatoes, paired with butter, lemon, and black pepper. What’s on your Labor Day plate? Share a picture with me!

Join my Garganelli class this month!

This month I’m teaching one of my favorite traditional pasta shapes: Garganelli!

Garganelli are a traditional pasta from Emilia-Romagna in northern Italy, known for their beautiful ridged, tube-like shape. They may look a little like penne at first glance, but they have a character all their own! I still have a few spots available for next Saturday, August 12.

And Garganelli aren’t the only thing on the September menu! This month I’m also teaching Spinach Gnocchi, Gnocchi, Ravioli, Tortelloni, Walnut Pesto, and Cavatelli.

As always, everything is hands-on and made from scratch❤️ Want the September schedule and class details? Comment or send me a message!

A NEW class is coming this September!

This month we’re adding Tortelloni to the Pasta di Mona class lineup!

Tortelloni are a beautiful stuffed pasta, similar in shape to tortellini but larger, giving us plenty of room for a delicious filling. In this class, we’ll make them completely from scratch and fill them with a savory chicken and Parmigiano Reggiano-based filling.

And Tortelloni aren’t the only thing on the September menu! This month I’m also teaching Spinach Gnocchi, Garganelli, Gnocchi, Ravioli, Walnut Pesto, and Cavatelli, with classes in Cookeville, plus one class each in Fairfield Glade and Celina.

As always, everything is hands-on and made from scratch. ❤️

If you want the class details or the September schedule, send me a message!

I always say sea salt is the best salt for cooking 🌊 But if you forgot to salt your corn and happen to be standing next to the ocean, soaking it in seawater is NOT your backup plan. 😂 Use sea salt. Just not straight from the sea!

We made farfalle! 🦋🦋🦋 Piece by piece, we turned simple dough into elegant little bow ties, or butterflies, as they’re called in Italian, all made completely by hand. It’s always a pleasure to see everyone’s focus, creativity, and those smiles when the pasta begins to come together. It’s especially lovely to see friends sharing the experience side by side!

Thank you all for such a beautiful evening!

PASTA MAKING CLASS IN CELINA!

Hey, Celina friends, I’m Mona, and I’m the owner of Pasta di Mona, where I make small-batch handmade pastas and sauces from scratch using fresh milled organic whole wheat flour and simple, wholesome ingredients. I also teach hands-on pasta classes where I show people how to make pasta by hand in a fun and approachable way.

I’m so excited to bring a pasta class this time to Celina! Join me on September 29 from 5:00–7:00 PM at The Clay County Public Library in Celina for a fun, hands-on evening making cavatelli pasta.

No experience is needed. I’ll guide you step by step, and you’ll leave with the pasta you made yourself from scratch using my fresh-milled flour, and the skills to make it again at home. It’s a fun and unique way to spend an evening with friends, family, or simply doing something special for yourself. The ticket is $65 per person and includes everything needed for the class. To reserve your spot, comment or message me directly, and I’ll send you all the payment details.
