This is probably the best chicken year we’ve had to date! From farm to fork, our chickens have produced some of the best eggs and meat our family has tasted. This is why we farm — to have wonderful food for our families raised right here on our land.

We are very proud of our chickens this year! This is some of the best meat and eggs we have ever had on the homestead!

Meet our newest Blue Heeler from Bryson City, North Carolina named Silver Bell (after a NC tree). Our daughter named her Silver even before we met her but we felt the name fits this Southern Belle perfectly. We love her and her sweet personality so much! Many of you know we lost our Ginger girl a few weeks ago and planted a red bud tree in her honor. I’ve never met a puppy that reminds us of Ginger more than Silver does. We are so grateful she fits so well in our family already!

Flat Stanley is going home in the mail to our friend’s daughter in Indiana! We included some photos of his visit at our farm. Love the relationships we have been able to keep even at such a far distance. 💕🥹 Our son helped pick 2 souvenirs for our friend at the Cumberland Mountain General Store and he picked some treats for himself too! What a good way to start the weekend.
