With holistic, intensive gardening methods and a passion for old-time ways, we aim to provide heirloom produce that is grown within a sustainable agriculture system. We believe in keeping what we grow as pure as possible- sunshine, sweat, rain, and just compost added to the soil- after all, it ends up on our dinner plate, too! This is our first year growing in Monterey, Kentucky, and selling at th
e Franklin County Farmers Market. Prior to our move here last year, David worked as a sustainable beekeeper and interned for Foxhollow Farm CSA near Louisville, Kentucky. Majal has a background in the arts, with library, museum, and gallery work experiences. Our 1/2 acre garden is located in silty, loam bottomland soil on a 50 acre farmstead that we rent. From season to season, customers will find both familiar and delightfully unconventional offerings at our market table. In addition to beautiful and flavorful produce, we hope to soon be offering hand-painted, hand-spun merino yarns and wool top. If you haven't visited us yet at market, we invite you to come and say hello! Like us on Facebook at facebook.com/beanblossomheirlooms or check out our blog at beanblossomheirlooms.blogspot.com.
