Want to know a positive of freezing temps, ice and closed schools? City of Homewood School District and Vestavia Hills City Schools collectively gave over 1,500 pounds of food to say YES to fill plates and not landfills. (See the picture for a perspective of their generosity and our faithful volunteers Jennifer Moore and the Paskys for retrieving and receiving the food!!)

We are grateful for the school districts who are the early adopters and trailblazers to share their excess to 👏👏 Did you know our founder prayed for 13 years for God to open a door to stop food waste in schools and He handed us the key to unlock the door with the nutritionist and superintendent of Homewood City Schools.
