How long can 230 cows last on a patch of grass this size? 🤔
This morning, Michael turned 230 head into a roughly 1/10 of an acre of forage and joked that it would be interesting to see how long it lasts before they clean it up. The answer? Probably not long. 😅
One of the things we pay attention to every day is matching cattle numbers to available forage. Move them too soon and you waste grass. Move them too late and you sacrifice future growth.
Good grazing management isn’t just about feeding cattle today—it’s about building healthier pastures for years to come. This is what intentional ranching looks like.
