We may have cut back on sow numbers but Kendall is going to take the second shift tonight farrowing this sow out! Our numbers may be lower than normal but the quality will be higher than before. Selling pigs first come first serve this year.

Ferrier Genetics is excited to introduce our new intern, Cody Neusbaum!

Cody Neusbaum is a senior at Quincy High School and enrolled in the Environmental and Agricultural Science class at the BACC, where he is the sentinel of the FFA chapter. At Quincy High School, Cody participates in football, bowling and baseball. Cody has been showing pigs for seven years. He has shown at the local and state level and is attending East Regional in Indiana this October. He has won showmanship classes, breed championships as well as top 5 at the local fair. Cody hopes to some day own his own show pig operation.

We are very excited to have Cody here at FG and the bright future he has in the swine industry!

I guess Calico Barrows were some of our specialties this year! Great Job Westfall and Antrup families!

Fun fact: Both young showmen are showing the offspring of gilts they showed for us in the past. Even cooler is those gilts and the barrows are their choice for showmanship.
