Today we said goodbye to our one remaining “OG” hen, the sweet and curmudgeonly Narcissa Malfoy. She was always entertaining with her “3 pack a day” grumbling voice, following us around everywhere, and the RBF she developed over the years. Narcissa was just a few weeks from her 10th birthday, which is amazing for a backyard hen. We will miss her fussing for treats everytime we came out and getting excited for her morning oatmeal and fly larvae - which we called her “wormies.” She was always one of the first out of the coop in the mornings. Life will never be the same without her and we are blessed to have had her for as long as we did.

Fly high, sweet girl and enjoy the perpetual sunbaths and endless wormies. 🖤🧡
