Well, that's not what we wanted to see on the front porch, first thing in the morning.

Alabama summertime is saturated with sunshine and tall grass, humidity and blue skies. It's a near paradoxical mix of beauty and misery, productive abundance just waiting for harvest and meteorological speedbumps slowing down your progress.

Stay hydrated, but get out there and enjoy it.

The true southern lady genotype, which has developed thru centuries of environmental and cultural selection in white pillared mansions and dirt-floor share croppers shacks from the Maryland coastlines to the rolling plains of Texas has continued on here in Pintlala, Alabama in the person of our eldest farm girl.

She made fried chicken for the first time yesterday that would have made her ancestors mighty proud to include in their harvest day picnic for the farmers and field hands, the community barbecue, or especially, the Sunday dinner with the visiting preacher.

The gospel bird will return again, dressed in it's Sunday best of breadcrumbs, herbs, and spices!

What did your grandmother make that was unique to her people and impossible to imitate?

Rainy days and love at first sight.

Our new South Poll bull is enchanted with her....... and her..... and her... and her and her
and the whole herd actually.

What can he say, he's got a lot of love to give.

Few things in the world exhibit Aristotles principle that the "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts" like the synergy you find when grass fed beef, peppers, and onions are cooked together.

Cosmic perfection on a tortilla.

We look forward to seeing yall out at the Shoppes at EastChase Farmers Market.

What's the difference with this beef?
No weird stuff injected, fed, or otherwise used to grow these cows.

How do they stay healthy without all those pharmaceuticals?
Being moved to fresh, clean pasture every day.

How hard is it to move them that often?
As easy as this.....
