The true southern lady genotype, which has developed thru centuries of environmental and cultural selection in white pillared mansions and dirt-floor share croppers shacks from the Maryland coastlines to the rolling plains of Texas has continued on here in Pintlala, Alabama in the person of our eldest farm girl.
She made fried chicken for the first time yesterday that would have made her ancestors mighty proud to include in their harvest day picnic for the farmers and field hands, the community barbecue, or especially, the Sunday dinner with the visiting preacher.
The gospel bird will return again, dressed in it's Sunday best of breadcrumbs, herbs, and spices!
