Today marked the passing of one of our first cows and the matriarch of our mini Hereford herd. O5’s MO Sugar was 19 years old. RIP sweet girl🥲

A Matriarch has passed…for the past 10 years, “Charolais” was the unofficial bell cow of the wagyu. She was the first Commerical cow here. You didn’t want to get between her and food 😂😂. She would follow you anywhere with the promise of feed and was the designated wagyu babysitter when our first ten heifers arrived from Washington state. Charolais was a bull calf queen- only giving us one heifer but she passed on her personality and quirks to Sally, who will carry forward the torch in her memory. We will miss Charolais but know she lived an envious life for a cow

Livestock don’t celebrate holidays.….found this little girl lifeless in the hay. Got her glucose, fluids and body temp up plus Draxine and Banamine. Here’s to hoping she is our Christmas miracle 🎄🎅🏻🎁
