45 degrees of temperature swings in the middle of October is garbage!!

Had to rinse the bucks down one day this week, a little purple shampoo never hurt while he's on the stand anyway😂He's still a buck in rut, regardless of his show schedule!

Rumble is ready for actual fall temps I'm sure!

First time mom, baby presented normally! But being a single buck, he was larger than we would've liked...all is well and couldn't be prouder of that momma!

Rumble, the buck who exceeded every expectation.

Buddy, top fullblood buck of the series, who lives with another family now.

Top Fullblood doe exhibitor, something we never would have thought possible our first year of bred and owned fullblood does.

Ares, the dual purpose Hades buck that totally surprised us in commercial and then got top points every show as a fullblood.

Spitfire, the Hades girl that we still have with us in Indiana.

The showman, puts her whole self into this life and is learning to really run now. She placed third and reserve in market and breeding showmanship her first year as an Intermediate showman.

I could go on for a while! But the short version is that this was something that we set goals for after Naile last year...every single one of Rylee's goals for the show series was acheived and exceeded. No one is more amazed by that than BRR💜💙🩷

I keep getting informed that Bear is, in fact, a YEARLING doe.......

How????

She was the cutest most precious little baby, like yesterday! HOW can she be a yearling? But she is. She's the one doe we kept out of last fall's kid crop. At the time that we made that decision, we were pretty unsure that it was the right call. Bear didn't hit her stride until June, but we always loved the soundness of her from the beginning.

A bit of a paradox, Bear was always marked beautifully yet an ugly duckling in other ways. When we left her home from Nationals, she apparently decided she wasn't going to be left behind again😂

We came home to a new Bear, and we entered the 'man-eater' portion of her life! I'll put her early photos in the comments so you can see what I'm talking about😁

The most under-recognized members of a herd are often the ones that you can't function without. These beautiful ladies raise their kids and give them everything they have to give.

We often share pictures of our show goats either during training or at the backdrop, but these brood does are the ones mainly responsible for them getting to the show ring.

I love going out in the pen with them (when it's not feeding time), they lead such a quiet existence. Although they get pretty rowdy at feeding time, fighting for the best sun spots, and knocking each other out of the way for the best perch on the gate during cookie time.

Each doe has earned her own special place in our little herd and each one has a story of how she got there💜💙🩷

Rumble and Rio are best buds, inseparable for the most part, but rut has complicated their relationship 😅
Rumble gets a little extra irritated at his best bud these days. Once in a while we let them out to do what bucks do, and it seems like someone always comes back to the barn with a small injury of some kind. It's usually a bloody ear.
Boys will be boys, I guess😣

Imagine hating us when we're just over here raising show goats😌

We got a very specifically, nasty message sent to our farm page recently. It's too vulgar to post, unfortunately. It wasn't the first and it won't be the last.

But I've also reached the point where I really don't care. If someone can't have an emotionless conversation about a topic with a stranger on the internet, then that really says more about them than it does me.

My highest grossing videos have 100% of the time been something "controversial" or a response to a hater. That tells me that 'mta' and 'tktk' really just want to create opposition and drive division. It says an awful lot about those companies as well.

Rewarding turmoil is a slippery slope.
