We are feeling so extremely blessed to have welcomed our own daughter to the herd!

Merritt Judith Manternach made her way into the world on 6/30/26 weighing 6 pounds 11.9 ounces.

We can’t wait to take her to the pasture and feed yard, but for now will be soaking in all the baby cuddles at home for a bit!

☀️🐄 Thank You for Joining Us at Our Cattle Handling Workshop! 🐄☀️
Despite the heat, we had a great turnout for our Cattle Handling Workshop, and we want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who attended and spent the day learning with us.
A special thank you to Dr. Grant Dewell with Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine for sharing his expertise on low-stress cattle handling and demonstrating practical techniques that benefit both cattle and handlers.
We would also like to thank Denise and Brooke from ISU Extension and Outreach Jones County for their assistance and support in making this event a success.
A huge thank you to Manternach Cattle Company for providing cattle for the hands-on demonstrations. Your willingness to share your livestock helped make the learning experience valuable and practical for all participants.
And of course, thank you to the Jones County Beef Producers for grilling a delicious supper.
We appreciate everyone who braved the hot temperatures to attend, learn, and support our local beef industry. We hope you left with new knowledge and ideas to implement in your own operations.

Wondering what to cook tonight? Supper for two (plus some leftovers)!

These Beef Enchiladas are packed with fresh ingredients and plenty of flavor:

* Fresh chopped onion
* Fresh chopped tomatoes
* 1 can black beans
* 1 can green chiles
* Manternach Cattle Company beef
* Slap Ya Mama Cajun seasoning (optional)

Mix everything together, roll into tortillas, and place in a baking dish. Top with red enchilada sauce and bake. During the last 5 minutes of baking, add a layer of cheese for the perfect finishing touch.

Going to make a few pans of these for the freezer too 🙂 Meal prep for baby Manternach is underway.
