These aren’t roses. (Dare I say it?! They might be even better than roses!)
Meet a farm favorite, Lisianthus! 😍 Or “Lizzy” for short!
One of the crops we wait the longest for and work the hardest for.
They take around 150 days from seed to bloom! (I’m not the best at math, but I think that’s nearly half a year.)
They’re notoriously tricky to grow, mainly because they like to stay ridiculously teeny-tiny for way too long.
(See the cute seedlings in my hand in the second picture? They’re 3 months old, and still so small!)
We’re growing FOUR TIMES as many lisianthus this year! 🤯
And we’re doing some fun (but a little costly and time consuming) experimenting to see if we can grow these beauties for longer than a few brief weeks in July.
If you ordered a DIY bucket, have a bloom bar or private workshop scheduled, or plan to attend a July workshop, you’ll see these beauties!
🎉 Talking about on-farm workshops, we’ve received quite a few messages!
July workshop spots will be super limited, and they’ll go live to email subscribers first - this weekend!
