Food in U.S. supermarkets travels 1,500–3,000 miles before it reaches you, losing freshness along the way and consuming tremendous amounts of fuel, packaging, and refrigeration.
Every extra stop adds to the carbon footprint, pollution, and waste. In contrast, food from local farmers travels only a short distance, stays fresher longer, and is usually produced with methods that respect the land and reduce environmental impact.
When you buy directly from local farms, you close the loop. Your food goes from the farm, to the local butcher, to your table. It’s fresher, cleaner, and healthier for both you and the planet. This is Rosie! The 2 meal a day, very entitled, nap when she wants to (usually 22 hours of the day, in my bed), you can pet me only when I say, and how long I say, house cat! I'm sure there's more! Those who know her can add in the comments!! I have just fed her and now she is in the dryer that I would like to use! Do I ask her to leave? Maybe I should let her finish cleaning herself! 🤣 She can be mean when things don't go her way! Just ask Max! The GSD. 😬😳
