Meet the Breed Queens:

My name is Karsyn Cocanower and I am proud to represent the Chester White breed as your 2025 Chester White Queen. I am a 10 year 4-H member and I am a current member of the livestock judging team a Black Hawk College East Campus in Kewanee, Illinois. I am also a newly appointed member of the Team Purebred Junior Board of Directors, which has afforded me the opportunity to connect with the next generation of livestock showmen regarding the CPS breeds.

The Chester breed is truly special to me. as a showman and a breeder. I have been fortunate enough to be able exhibit Chesters at the county, state, and national level and see my show gilts impact the future of the breed, which is a truly special feeling. I look forward to seeing everyone at the 2025 Indiana State fair and represent the Chester breed! Thank You!

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

I am thrilled to announce that Tanner Wuethrich has joined Cocanower Showpigs as a partner. Tanner grew up in Francesville, IN and was a dedicated 10-year 4-H member successfully showing both swine and beef. Tanner and his significant other, Taryn Johns, currently reside in Reynolds, IN.

As a proud Purdue University alumnus with a bachelor's degree in agronomy, Tanner brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our operations at Cocanower Showpigs. Tanner is a fourth-generation row crop farmer at Top Notch Farms and is deeply rooted in our agricultural community.

Tanners introduction to breeding originated with his first Chester White sow prospect purchase (Tally) from the Criswell family. That foundation sow has made an instant impact with offspring making waves on the show circuit and farrowing crates. Tanner also brings foundation Berkshire and Crossbred sows we are excited to add to our current genetic pool.

Tanner’s passion for raising high-quality show pigs and his dedication to improving livestock make him an invaluable addition to our team. Please join me in welcoming Tanner to the Cocanower Showpigs family! 🐖
