In 1981 two lifelong friends, Jack and Steve saw this property on the way to fish the river, the farm is a mere 500’ from head of river. Their dream was to put a campground there with bait shop and camp store, also rent canoe and kayak and do shuttle to goose pasture. In December of 1989, co-owner/operator, Jack Krause, harvested and sold the timber to buy 3,000 blueberry plants. He dug 3,000 hole

s with a post hole digger and planted the plants. The farm was established with the help, labor and support of family, friends and neighbors. Blueberry Springs had its 1st annual harvest in June of 1991. This farm is a truly amazing place
We are located off SR 59 South at the head of the Wacissa River. Directions: From Tallahasse take either I-10 E, SR 90 E, or Tram Rd to SR 59; take SR 59 S to Wacissa; from the blinking light in Wacissa, go 1 mile to the dead end signs; Blueberry Springs is on the left before the dead end at the Wacissa River.
