Our maiden voyage to Stoughton Fair was a BLAST!! We had a great crew too and even looked the part of being "be timers" 😉 Even though we were working out of our trailer!
We kicked off the day with Mill Hill and Big Daddy in PeeWee showmanship. Miller was shy at first, but was able to tell the judge her hfr's name was Gypsy and she's a brown swissy!
Mill and Gypsy made their second ring appearance, but with Mommy in the Spring Calf class. The girls pulled off a 2nd place finish.
Next up were the two fall calves; Smashd Ma Bro strapped by Marley and Sweet View Ray Cricket strapped by Taylor. Ultra Dairy Cricket ended up hedging the powerhouse Bro, ending up 1st and 2nd in the class. One heck of a pair of fall calves! Cricket is very near and dear to our hearts; she's a "Sweet Money" collab between her owner Kalee and Marley. She's also been hanging out at our farm for "Summer Camp."
To wrap up our expedition, Kaleigh strapped our blast from the past, Lindy Rose. In a DEEP Fall calf class, the duo ended up right in the middle of the pack. Not too bad for almost 30 year old Genetics. Lindy Rose is quite the classic unit!
As promised, you got to see Marley and Kaleigh back in whites 😉 According to them, it's going to be awhile before the whites see the shavings again!
Great job team! We couldn't have done it without all the behind the scenes homies 🫶
Catch Maycee, Tyson and the crew at Green County Fair next week in Monroe! They will be competing Thursday the 17th and Miller will be out with Gypsy Weds the 16th....
Stay tuned to see Maycee's steer make her debut in milking form 👀
